Taking six 17 year old young ladies to Bonaire can have its perks, they suggested we take a romantic evening to ourselves, Capriccio was a logical choice for us. Serving delicious Italian food, Capriccio is located in downtown Kralendijk, with great service and an amazing view.

We didn’t have a reservation (strongly suggest you make them!), but lucked out as they had an indoor table available. The indoor seating has a nice perk of air conditioning. We asked to be considered for outdoor if space became available, and they were happy to accommodate us when a table opened. We enjoyed a cocktail inside followed by apps, dinner & wine outside – it was quite perfect.

I wish I took a picture of the menu. Unfortunately, I cannot find it on their website, but below are some pictures of our dinner choices. They taste as good as they look.

Personally, I find their salt and pepper shakers adorable.

If you are craving pizza while on Bonaire, Pasa Bon Pizza & Bar is the place to go. Eat in or take away, Bonaire’s best American-style pizza is a nice option for an evening you are looking for something low key, or perfect for an after night-dive dinner . Their sauces are home made, and they serve pasta, salad and desert as well.

Pasa Bon Pizza is on the road from downtown Kralendijk to our villa.

The wait can be long at times, but Pasa Bon will allow you to call ahead and pre-order your dine-in, or take-out, meal.

Bonaire is a very quaint and small island, and although tourists have been coming to Bonaire for many years, one would not describe Bonaire as “touristy”. With that comes tremendous peace and tranquility, and in return some modern luxuries are not always readily available … but that’s changing! The Bonairian citizens continue to be welcoming of tourists and local companies are continuing to cater to this population. Bonaire now has a food delivery service! We are so excited to see this company on Bonaire, and hope that it flourishes on our well-loved island.

Dinner in a Box provides delivery service from many restaurants on Bonaire. Take a peak at their website and click on any of the restaurants to view their menus. When ordering, please note we are in Sabadeco. Their website details their delivery charges as well.

Many of the restaurants on their site are also listed in our recommendations, and we hope you will take the opportunity to “eat out” under the palapa on the grounds of Villa Lunt.

Fine Italian fare, made-to-order freshness, superb presentation with a celebrated wine selection -that’s Capriccio in Bonaire. This premier, seaside restaurant located just outside town is a must on every Italian connoisseur’s list.

Before visiting the island you can view their many finely made lunch and dinner menu options by checking out their website. Capriccio’s bread, pasta, ice cream and desserts all are homemade and delicious. They serve many distinctly Italian dishes, some with an added Bonaire flair. You will also find many salad and pizza choices..

Their amazing wine selection, also available to view online, has been honored by Wine Spectator Magazine for many years.

Capriccio is owned by a husband and wife team, both born in Italy. Husband, Andrea Magni was the youngest chef in Italy to get a Michelin Star. Wife Lorella Lucia Scandaletti, after working for some of the most prestigious restaurants in Los Angeles, returned to her native Italy. Their first vacation was to the island of Bonaire, and now it is their dream and home … and all of us get to enjoy their dream with them.

After dinner, stroll down town along the water front, all the while enjoying the Bonaire breeze
