We have always been a fan of Sebastian’s Restaurant on Bonaire. The food is amazing, the views are unbelievable, the atmosphere is relaxing, the staff is awesome, and have we mentioned the views?
The pier table, pictured above, is available first come first serve, with no extra charge. If you are fortunate enough to reserve this table, it will be an evening to remember.
Sebastian’s recently introduced a Sunday Night Italian menu. Delicious and reasonable – at the time of writing this post traditional Italian appetizers and home-made pizza’s and pasta’s were only $16 – Sebastian’s is a wonderful option for a relaxing, laid back Sunday night meal with family and friends.
The restaurant opens at 5:30 PM & reservations are always highly recommended. The kitchen closes at 9:00 PM on Sundays.
Take-away pizza is also available; simply phone in your order to +599 717-1697.
Our family enjoys Mediterranean food, so when we saw Mezze Restaurant, we knew we had to try it. It did not disappoint.
Mezze is a contemporary Mediterranean & Middle Eastern cuisine restaurant which interprets authentic flavors of Middle East with a modern approach through its Le Cordon Bleu alumni chef and his team. The soul of Mezze is homemade pita bread prepared fresh in wood fired oven as well as welcoming guests with ginger-hummus. Mezze’s menu varies from small cold starter plates such as hummus, baba gannoush, falafel, tabbouleh, tuna sashimi to Turkish Kebab and Moroccan chicken prepared on Charcoal grill or tenderloin dry aged beef or lamb shank, homemade baklava in pistachio, passion fruit cheesecake and more. Diners can relax and enjoy delicious plates with carefully selected wine menu at their ocean-front view.
The staff was very helpful, and everyone in our family found something they enjoyed. I ordered several appetizers, including the Istanbul Style Shrimp (yummy!) as my main course and was very satisfied. Steve had the Turkish Kebap and said it was fabulous.
The staff was attentive and the wine selection was lovely. We recommend calling ahead for reservations.

Karel’s Beach Bar sits on its own pier in the heart of Bonaire. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner the restaurant offers good food at a fair price with an unbelievable view. The bar at Karel’s serves great drinks with lots of signature cocktails.
On a recent trip to Bonaire, we had the opportunity to take in the morning sun, while eating a delicious breakfast. The view, the food, the weather, all were just magnificent.
Karel’s comes a live at night, offering karaoke nights, live music and dance events with Bonaire’s best DJ’s.
Checkout the video below – surprised they didn’t mention the delicious breakfast, but we highly recommend it!

If you are craving pizza while on Bonaire, Pasa Bon Pizza & Bar is the place to go. Their sauces are home made, and they serve pasta, salad and desert as well.
Pasa Bon Pizza is on the road from downtown Kralendijk to our villa.

Fine Italian fare, made-to-order freshness, superb presentation with a celebrated wine selection -that’s Capriccio in Bonaire. This premier, seaside restaurant located just outside town is a must on every Italian connoisseur’s list.
Before visiting the island you can view their many finely made lunch and dinner menu options by checking out their website. Capriccio’s bread, pasta, ice cream and desserts all are homemade and delicious. They serve many distinctly Italian dishes, some with an added Bonaire flair. You will also find many salad and pizza choices..
Their amazing wine selection, also available to view online, has been honored by Wine Spectator Magazine for many years.
Capriccio is owned by a husband and wife team, both born in Italy. Husband, Andrea Magni was the youngest chef in Italy to get a Michelin Star. Wife Lorella Lucia Scandaletti, after working for some of the most prestigious restaurants in Los Angeles, returned to her native Italy. Their first vacation was to the island of Bonaire, and now it is their dream and home … and all of us get to enjoy their dream with them.
After dinner, stroll down town along the water front, all the while enjoying the Bonaire breeze
We find an advanced reservation is always a smart choice.
The Brass Boer Restaurant, located at the Delfins Beach Resort, recently opened in Bonaire and is exceeding the expectations of its guests, and their tastebuds. A visit to this restaurant is an experience that will add to an unforgettable Bonaire vacation.
Their website says the menu mixes local ingredients and global influences, from refined à la carte dishes to yummy beach bites. Brass Boer Restaurant is run under the management of Jonnie and Thérèse Boer, a gifted culinary couple with famed restaurants in the Netherlands.
They have a very romantic sunset lounge, a relaxing spot to enjoy a beautiful Caribbean view. Reservations are subject to a price fixed offering.

It Rains Fishes overlooks the beautiful Caribbean Sea and is another wonderful place to dine in Bonaire. Serving many different delicious main course dishes, they are not just limited to fresh caught fish dishes -their menu has beef and poultry options as well – although their fish dishes are SPECTACULAR. It Rains Fishes menu includes a children’s section featuring chicken nuggets, fresh catch or croquette each served with fries and ice cream. For starters, we recommend their soup options or ceviche – always a crowd pleaser!
In front of the restaurant, many day boaters will leave early in the morning to fish for the day’s catch. If you stroll by mid-morning, you may see them return with their bounty which they cut and clean close to shore.
While looking for more information to provide our guests about this delicious restaurant, we were interested to read about the history of the over 100 year old building. The building, “Kas di Pa Kachi Craane i Ma Seshi Craane-Graavenhorst”, is situated on the waterfront of Playa Pabou. This architectural style is called “Kas di Kaha”, box model. The structure consists of three roofs, a hipped roof with dormers around it. The peaks of the roofs are usually decorated with figures or statues.
Ingridients Restaurant, located in the Buddy Dive Resort is a treat for all Bonaire visitors. We enjoy everything about Ingridients – the food, the view, the atmosphere, the service – just absolutely wonderful. The restaurant overlooks the sea with a breathtaking view of the sunset.
And yes, that is spelled correctly, the restaurant was named for its owner, Ingrid.
As posted on their website, Ingridients uses locally produced fresh ingredients with dishes inherent to the Mediterranean cuisine, using the basic principles of French, Spanish and Italian cooking. Their chefs are constantly experimenting with new flavors and texture combinations by selecting only the freshest seasonal produce. Their menu changes seasonally with many daily specials.
We enjoy dining with the entire family at Ingridients Restaurant.
Located in the Buddy Dive resort, directly adjacent to the Buddy Dive bar and restaurant, affords a lot of flexibility. Our children are older, and at times have decided to visit the more relaxed restaurant at Buddy Dive while Steve & I enjoy a couples evening. Buddy Dive has a great bar with a fantastic daily happy hour. The 5 of us enjoy cocktails and mocktails. The kids stay and enjoy the restaurant and pool while Steve and I walk over to the finer dining experience offered a few feet away.
